1X Technologies Secures $23.5M for Bipedal Android NEO and EVE Production

Norway's 1X Technologies, formerly Halodi Robotics, has secured $23.5 million in a Series A2 funding round. The company, which specialises in humanoid robotics, plans to use the funds to develop its upcoming bipedal android model NEO and scale manufacturing of its first commercially available android, EVE.

The funding round was led by OpenAI Startup Fund, with participation from other investors such as Tiger Global, Sandwater, Alliance Ventures, and Skagerak Capital. 1X Technologies aims to integrate emerging technology into daily life and augment the global labor market with its innovative humanoid robots.

Founded in 2014, the company has been working on developing advanced android models like NEO and EVE. With the new funds, 1X Technologies plans to accelerate the development of NEO and increase production of EVE in Norway and North America.

The successful funding round demonstrates the confidence investors have in 1X Technologies' vision and technology. The company is poised to make significant strides in humanoid robotics, with the potential to revolutionise various industries and daily life.
