Acrisure Completes $1.1B Acquisition of Heartland Payroll, Expanding Payroll and HCM Capabilities
Acrisure has finalised its $1.1 billion acquisition of Heartland Payroll, one of the largest payroll and human capital management (HCM) companies in the US. The deal brings over 50,000 clients under Acrisure's umbrella and expands its payroll and HCM capabilities. Vince Lombardo, who brings over two decades of leadership experience in payroll and financial services, has joined Acrisure to lead the newly formed AurisSM Payroll and HCM Division.
The acquisition, first announced in May 2025, sees Heartland Payroll rebranded as AurisSM Payroll and HCM Division. Greg Williams, Co-Founder, Chairman, and CEO of Acrisure, views this move as a strategic step to better serve the needs of small and medium-sized business clients. Lombardo, with his extensive experience in payroll and financial services, will helm this new division. Acrisure aims to leverage Heartland Payroll's robust client base and capabilities to strengthen its position in the payroll and HCM market.
