Actual Secures $5M for Sustainability Transformation Platform

San Francisco-based Actual, an ESG Transformation Platform, has secured $5 million in Seed funding. The round was led by Buckley Ventures, Hyper, Wndrco, Sequoia Scout, Signalfire Scout, Craft Scout, and Global Founders Capital, and was announced in February 2022.

Actual, founded by Rajesh Chandran, Karthik Balakrishnan, and Derek Lyons, helps businesses embed sustainability into their models and meet net-zero and corporate pledges. The platform works with corporations, governments, and organizations to plan and execute sustainability initiatives.

The funding will support Actual's mission to help companies meet their sustainability goals. The company has partnerships with several notable organizations, including Giga, 2000W Smart Cities, GAV, ZQRX, Allbirds, and VF Corporation.
