Ahead of IBC2025, ARET set to reveal cutting-edge Ultra High Definition (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) Outside Broadcast (OB) Trailer

The upcoming 2025 IBC Show at the RAI Amsterdam will feature a new Outside Broadcast (OB) truck from Lawo and ARET Video & Audio Engineering. This landmark truck, designed for cutting-edge mobile production, will make its debut at the show.

The OB truck is a showcase of advanced video and audio technology, boasting a 64-fader Lawo mc²56 production console and Lawo’s A__UHD Core processing platform. This combination enables highly sophisticated and flexible live production workflows.

Key advanced features offered by this collaboration include support for Ultra High Definition (UHD) and High Dynamic Range (HDR) video production, delivering superior image quality for mobile broadcasts. The trailer is built to perform under demanding production and environmental conditions, supporting up to 34 UHD cameras, hybrid 12G-SDI/IP workflows, and full UHD HDR production capability.

Visitors to IBC 2025 can explore the OB trailer firsthand, experiencing how the integration supports sophisticated IP-based workflows, high channel counts, and immersive audio-video capabilities, reflecting the latest trends in broadcast technology for mobile productions.

The truck's audio control room is centered around a 64-fader mc256 audio production console, designed for agile operation in complex environments. The audio environment offers superb sound quality and rock-solid reliability, with the audio control room powered by redundant A__UHD Core engines, each offering 1,024 fully processed DSP channels, ultra-low latency, and full support for immersive audio workflows such as Dolby Atmos.

The truck will be equipped with Lawo's Virtual Studio Manager (VSM) for control and orchestration. VSM gives operators complete control and maximum flexibility, reducing downtime and ensuring operational continuity. It offers customizable touch GUIs, logic-based automation, and snapshot-based reconfiguration.

Every element of the truck has been engineered and tested by ARET in-house for consistent quality and end-to-end accountability. The trailer is also equipped with a high-capacity, multi-zone HVAC system and advanced airflow design for uninterrupted performance in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.

Lawo will present its full portfolio of IP-native broadcast solutions at booth 8.B90 during the show, including the HOME platform, mc2 audio production console series, A__line and Power Core audio interfaces, and VSM control and orchestration system.

The OB truck will be located at outdoor position 0.A07 at the RAI Amsterdam during the show. It will showcase samples of next-generation Lawo IP technology designed to redefine mobile production standards. The truck offers three acoustically optimized and fully separated workspaces for video shading, production, and audio, aiming for deployment across a wide range of production scenarios, allowing integrated, efficient, and scalable live production directly from the field.

This collaboration between Lawo and ARET promises to deliver an advanced, versatile, and reliable OB truck for the future of mobile broadcast production.
