AI game development's promising future unveiled by XGENIA: a tech-forward glimpse into the coming years of artificial intelligence in gaming.

Packed with enthusiasm, an informal gathering occurred on May 6, 2025, in Valletta, right at number 200 on Merchants Street. A motley mix of developers, investors, veterans, and curious minds gathered under flickering lanterns, eager to embark on a cutting-edge iGaming adventure. Valletta's ancient streets buzzed with excitement, as though ready to merge the past with the future.

This wasn't your typical cocktail party, though. Powered by innovation, it was a live exhibition that thrived on energy, where technology and believers shook hands, and the future gleamed just beneath the cobblestones. With oysters, drinks, and stimulating conversations flowing through the night, everyone was keen to partake in a unique experience designed to inspire.

Mark Flores Martin, XGENIA's CEO, spoke exclusively with SiGMA News before the reveal. XGENIA had unveiled an intriguing AI-amplified desktop application that they claimed would revolutionize the iGaming industry by rendering overnight what used to take months. And if Mark was to be believed, it was set to transform not just game mechanics and jackpots, but also content creation, compliance tools, and more—all sans coding.

Innovation where the lanterns shine

XGENIA's platform outshined traditional AI tools by focusing on spatial privacy. Built as a user-controlled desktop tool, it granted developers free rein to build games, CRMs, backends, compliance tools, and more, while keeping their data safe and secured within their systems. What's more, this system could create content panels, compliance systems, and even scan market conversations over espresso without the need for coding.

"This isn't a tool to replace creativity," Mark emphasized, "but to amplify it, in complete data privacy."

The new platform built upon XGENIA's acclaimed AI chatbot, which generated personalized slot games with graphics, animations, and sounds. The team soon discovered a deeper issue at play, though: a vast industry gap in using AI effectively and securely. To bridge that yawning chasm, they devised a next-gen AI assistant that operated more like a research partner than a coding tool.

Capable of scanning the market, analyzing competitors, exploring compliance risks, creating design options, and building the product itself, all within clean code in JavaScript, TypeScript, PixiJS (an interactive graphics platform), React, and more, this system revolutionized the development landscape. Even those with limited programming skills could create complex applications using a visual editor that mapped processes onto a user-friendly, node-based interface.

"Users can automate the process or prefer a final touch of human polish," Mark revealed, *"the choice is theirs."

Unlike most AI-driven platforms, XGENIA's system opted for a local, on-premise approach, processing data within the user's machine and allowing developers to integrate their preferred AI models.

But that's not all XGENIA had up its sleeve. Prepare to be amazed.

It functions like a team of AI rethinking solutions, breaking down your question into parts and discussing ideas before returning with sharper, smarter solutions than traditional developer meetings.

We're not simply AI-agnostic. We're AI-obsessed," Mark explained, "Keeping your data and your future profit margins secure. Our system is built on a data obsession."

XGENIA's platform supported open-source AI libraries and allowed instant switching between models to comply with the latest regulations. Compliance checks could now be conducted efficiently using a simple, user-friendly drag-and-drop method. In fact, XGENIA was set to launch a new AI tool that could scan behavior patterns and identify anomalies without relying on historical training data.

"Our focus isn't data collection," Mark clarified, "only support tickets have access to your data. We prefer it that way."

Looking ahead, XGENIA planned to expand its ecosystem with an user-built app marketplace and an internal incubator led by industry veterans. This incubator would guide new developers on using AI creatively, fostering a new generation of thought leaders and innovators.

Radically changing the game, one innovation at a time

With iGaming wrestling with increasing pressure to innovate while maintaining strict control over compliance and data, XGENIA's platform offered a potentially viable, on-premise-first path to the future. Although Mark acknowledged the risks involved, he argued that this transformative technology warranted a closer look.

"Once people realize they're essentially renting their data to companies," he said, "we're going to witness a seismic shift. That's when the real change will begin."

Mark had also launched a podcast titled The iGaming AI Edge, aimed at delivering a weekly dose of AI for gaming execs, with an unfiltered, actionable, and thought-provoking look into the latest AI trends and innovations affecting the gaming sector.

"I want them to dwell on possibilities, about what AI could do for their future projects," Mark said, "and what they could create with it. That's the starting point for real disruption."

And so, under the glow of the lanterns on Merchants Street, it seemed as though the future had already begun. Make sure you don't miss out on SiGMA Asia, set to take place in Manila from June 1 to 4, 2025, attracting over 20,000 participants and 350+ speakers. Join the global iGaming revolution.
