AI Healthtech Startup Abtrace Secures £2.1M for UK Expansion
London-based healthtech startup Abtrace has secured £2.1 million in seed funding. The company, founded by Dr. Umar Naeem Ahmad, uses AI to provide advanced digital solutions for healthcare professionals. Its AI tool can integrate with Electronic Health Record (EHR) databases to aid in patient care.
Abtrace's AI-based solution is set to be introduced in numerous GP practices and NHS Foundation Trusts across the UK. These include Moorfields Eye Hospital and UCL in London, as well as trusts in Liverpool, Newcastle, Southampton, Oxford, Hull, Leeds, and more. The software helps GPs and healthcare assistants make more informed decisions and automate disease monitoring.
The funding round was led by Faber with participation from Ganexa Capital. Abtrace plans to use these funds to expand its technology to new GP practices, growing its engineering and data science teams in the process. The company's website can be found at https://www.abtrace.co/.
Abtrace, with its innovative AI tool, aims to revolutionise patient care in the UK. The recent funding will facilitate its expansion into more GP practices and NHS trusts, potentially benefiting thousands of patients with long-term health conditions.
