Ankai Bus Unveils Electric Revolution at Busworld Europe
Ankai Bus has unveiled its latest electric vehicles at Busworld Europe. The E12S, a fourth-generation electric open-top double-decker, and the E60, a micro-cycle bus, are set to revolutionise urban transport. Both buses will soon operate in Paris.
The E12S, featuring 50 seats upstairs and 23 downstairs, boasts an adjustable driver's platform and a 10.1-inch display. It offers USB charging points, multi-language audio tours, and accessibility features. Powered by a permanent magnet synchronous wheel-hub motor, it supports regenerative braking, reducing energy usage by around 10%. The E12S incorporates cybersecurity measures and driving assistance technologies, using CATL LFP battery packs and an intelligent thermal management system, complying with R155 and R156 standards.
The E60, focusing on structural strength and safety, features an integrated digital instrument cluster and a large cockpit screen. Both buses will soon hit the streets of Paris following their successful launch at Busworld Europe.
