Anthropic Unveils Claude Sonnet 4.5: A Coding Powerhouse

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Sonnet 4.5, its latest large language model, showcasing impressive performance in coding benchmarks like SWE-bench Verified and OSWorld. The model is designed for coding and agentic tasks, demonstrating remarkable focus and new features.

Claude Sonnet 4.5 can maintain concentration for over 30 hours on intricate, multi-step tasks. Anthropic has also launched a 5-day research preview, highlighting the model's software generation capabilities. Additionally, the company has released the Claude Agent SDK, allowing developers to create their own agents.

Claude Code has received a facelift, now including checkpoints, a revamped terminal, and a native Visual Studio Code extension.
