Apple has announced the latest additions to its iPad Pro lineup, featuring the powerful M2 chip, the new iPadOS 16, and a host of productivity-enhancing features. The new 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models are now available to order, with deliveries beginning on October 26.
The new iPad Pro is available for $299 (US) for the 11-inch model and $349 (US) for the 12.9-inch model when paired with the Magic Keyboard. For those looking to upgrade, Apple offers a trade-in program that provides credit towards a new iPad Pro.
The M2 chip, first introduced in the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, offers breakthrough performance with up to 15% faster CPU and up to 35% faster GPU compared to M1. It also features a 16-core Neural Engine capable of processing 15.8 trillion operations per second, 40% more than M1.
The new iPad Pro supports ProRes video capture, making it an ideal tool for content creators. The 12.9-inch iPad Pro with Liquid Retina XDR display can match the color requirements in workflows like review and approve, color grading, and compositing with Reference Mode.
iPadOS 16, which ships for free with the new iPad Pro, will be available beginning October 24. This latest operating system introduces Stage Manager, a new multitasking experience, full external display support, desktop-class apps, and Reference Mode, elevating the iPad Pro experience.

Apple has also announced the availability of the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) for $129 (US) and the Smart Keyboard Folio for $179 (US) for the new 11-inch iPad Pro and $199 (US) for the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro. The Smart Folio is available for $79 (US) for the new 11-inch iPad Pro and $99 (US) for the new 12.9-inch iPad Pro.
The new iPad Pro offers superfast wireless connectivity with support for Wi-Fi 6E, up to 2.4Gb/s download speeds, and 5G (sub-6GHz and mmWave) in select regions. It also boasts an incredible ecosystem of powerful pro apps unlike any other device of its kind.
In a commitment to environmental sustainability, the new iPad models are designed to minimize their impact on the environment, including 100 percent recycled gold, recycled aluminum, tin, and rare earth elements.
