Apple's first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Fold, is set to hit the market in 2026. Speculations suggest it will come with a hefty price tag, ranging between $2,000 and $2,500. The device is expected to feature two displays connected by a nearly seamless hinge.
Samsung Display, Apple's main display partner, has been selected as the primary supplier for the ultra-thin displays of the iPhone Fold. Samsung is gearing up for mass production, with its 8.6 generation production line expected to start by the end of Q2 or Q3 2026.
The upcoming iOS 27 is rumoured to focus heavily on features tailored for the new iPhone Fold. Apple tested a prototype of the device in the summer of 2025, indicating that development is well underway.
