Ather Rizta receives an over-the-air (OTA) update, enabling touchscreen functionality.
In a recent development, Ather Energy, an innovative electric two-wheeler company, has rolled out a significant software update called AtherStack 7. This update brings a host of new smart features to their Ather 450 Apex scooters.
One of the standout additions is Infinite Cruise, a unique city-riding cruise control system. Infinite Cruise allows riders to set a speed with a button press, and the scooter will automatically lock in the new speed. This feature, designed for stop-and-go city traffic, can lock in speeds as low as 10 km/h, making urban commuting smoother and more efficient.
Ather Energy has also introduced Infinite Cruise for the Ather 450 Apex, and it is compatible with all 2025-manufactured Ather 450 Apex scooters. Infinite Cruise combines Cruise Control, Hill Control, and Crawl Control for a seamless riding experience.
Another notable feature in AtherStack 7 is ParkSafe. This feature alerts riders when parking in high-risk tow zones, using a national database of known tow zones. Riders can now park with peace of mind, knowing they are not in a tow-away zone.
AtherStack 7 also includes Proactive Alerts, which deliver real-time warnings about potential hazards and system issues. These alerts help riders stay informed and make safe decisions on the road.
In addition to these features, AtherStack 7 introduces Pothole Alerts. These alerts warn riders of potholes using both dashboard and voice prompts, helping to ensure a smoother ride.
The update also addresses a previous issue with the Rizta model, which did not initially have a touchscreen. Ather Energy has now enabled the touchscreen on the Rizta Zs, thanks to a resolved supplier issue.
Moreover, AtherStack 7 features natural voice commands for controlling key functions without manual inputs. This hands-free functionality adds convenience to the riding experience.
Riders can also remotely immobilize their scooters using the Ather mobile app with LockSafe. LockSafe detects tampering attempts and instantly alerts the owner, providing an extra layer of security.
Lastly, Ather Energy has introduced ParkSafe, a feature that alerts riders when parking in high-risk tow zones. This addition to AtherStack 7 demonstrates the company's commitment to enhancing the safety and convenience of their electric scooters.
With the AtherStack 7 update, Ather Energy continues to push the boundaries of what is possible in electric two-wheeler technology, offering features that make urban commuting safer, more efficient, and more enjoyable.
