Automotive Industry Drives Digitalization in Logistics
Leaders in the automotive industry are pushing forward in data analytics, machine learning, and AI to stay competitive in logistics. However, they face significant challenges in digitalisation, including legacy systems, interoperability issues, poor data strategies, skills shortages, and lack of investment. To understand these strategies better, the Automotive Logistics Systems & Software Survey, launched in June 2024, focuses on inbound and outbound logistics.
The survey aims to shed light on the digitalisation efforts of OEMs and suppliers. While no specific companies or reported challenges were found, it's clear that improving visibility and addressing capacity constraints are top priorities. Meanwhile, industry players are developing software tools to boost cost efficiency, optimise network design, and manage risks more effectively in automotive logistics.
The Automotive Logistics Systems & Software Survey, launched in June 2024, seeks to gauge the industry's digitalisation strategies. As OEMs and suppliers work on enhancing logistics through software tools, understanding the challenges and goals will be crucial for driving progress in the sector.
