Belarus Launches 'Belpochta' E-commerce Marketplace for Nationwide Connectivity
Belarus' 'Belpochta' has launched an e-commerce marketplace, aiming to connect producers and consumers nationwide, including rural areas untouched by major online platforms. The pilot operation began on October 1, with plans for curbside delivery.
The marketplace, developed from 'Belpochta's' existing online store, is open to Belarusian producers, including individual entrepreneurs. It offers a wide range of payment methods, from ERIP and online to cash and installment cards, catering to diverse customer needs.
Initially, the platform has a limited number of users, allowing for technological refinement. Despite this, it has attracted significant enterprises. Besides Conte Spa and Mark Formelle, major retailers and logistics partners have joined. 'Bellegprom', the Association of Light Industry, and other domestic market giants are also showing interest.
The 'Belpochta' marketplace, launched in a pilot operation, is expanding e-commerce in Belarus. It connects producers and consumers nationwide, including remote villages, with a variety of payment methods. The platform has attracted major enterprises and is refining its processes with initial users.
