The Bitcoin mining landscape is set for a significant shift with the introduction of SolarBit and ImmergeAxe, innovative solutions designed to optimize solar energy utilization and enhance the efficiency of Bitcoin mining operations.
SolarBit, an accessory for the BitAxe-Miner, is a revolutionary product that combines a movable solar panel, a protected storage area for the miner, and four stands for easy positioning. This system features an autonomous solar tracking system, ensuring it adjusts to the best position for optimal sunlight, and automatically shuts off at night. SolarBit is UV and water-resistant, equipped with a temperature sensor for overheating protection, and a rain sensor that converts the solar panel into an umbrella for the BitAxe during rainfall.
To further support open-source Bitcoin mining projects powered by solar energy, MolonLabe, the group associated with the SolarBit project, plans to publish the hardware list and 3D print files for SolarBit in early 2024.
ImmergeAxe, another innovation by MolonLabe, is a modern immersion cooling system designed specifically for BitAxe models. This system significantly reduces operating temperatures, isolates the miner from dust and other environmental influences, and extends the lifespan of the miner. Developer MolonLabe has engineered ImmergeAxe to operate in a dielectric liquid, such as a special oil or synthetic fluid, to dissipate heat effectively.
The BitAxe 601 Gamma, a new model in the BitAxe series, boasts an intuitive user interface, an impressive hash rate of up to 1.3 TH/s, and an efficiency of approximately 15 W/TH. This model includes an exclusive Blocktrainer stand, a 30-W power supply, a detachable OLED display, and is compatible with all 5V fans. The bitaxeGamma, another addition to the BitAxe family, uses the BM1370 mining chip of the Antminer S21 Pro, making it more efficient and powerful than the previous model, BitAxe 401 Supra.
The first ten serial models of ImmergeAxe were available for purchase on the SoloSatoshi platform in limited quantities. Overclocking the BitAxe miner with ImmergeAxe can increase the hash rate and efficiency, with the BitAxe Ultra achieving 1.2 TH/s in the ImmergeAxe cooling system.
The maximum input power for solar energy is 30 watts, which can operate the BitAxe and charge a 12-volt lithium battery (6 - 8 Ah) required for operation. With these innovative solutions, Bitcoin mining becomes more accessible, eco-friendly, and independent, making it a viable option for more individuals and businesses.
SolarBit is expected to be available from November 2024, and the BitAxe project, an open-source Bitcoin mining project, has already increased the efficiency and hash rate of the Bitcoin network. These developments mark a significant step forward in the integration of renewable energy sources into the Bitcoin mining industry, paving the way for a more sustainable and efficient future.
