BMW Unveils Raw M3 GTR with 346 HP and 1,350 kg Weight
BMW has revealed the M3 GTR, a raw and powerful addition to its M3 lineup. This model, one of the rawest M3s ever built, is powered by a 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 346 hp and 365 Nm of torque. Only three production-ready units were made, each with unique seats and interiors.
The M3 GTR's engine, the P60B40, features a flat-plane crankshaft and dry sump lubrication, contributing to its impressive performance. Despite its power, the M3 GTR weighs in at just 1,350 kg, making it lighter than the 2003 M3 CSL. This lightness, combined with its 365 Nm of torque, ensures quick acceleration.
The M3 GTR's exterior is striking, with a carbon fiber rear wing, trunk lid spoiler, redesigned bumpers, hood vents, and an exposed carbon fiber roof. Unlike the CSL, the M3 GTR comes with a six-speed manual transmission, offering drivers a more engaged driving experience. The three street versions were developed by BMW Motorsport in collaboration with private specialists for homologation purposes.
The M3 GTR, with its powerful engine, lightweight construction, and aggressive styling, is a testament to BMW's commitment to performance and exclusivity. Its rarity, with only three production-ready units made, adds to its desirability among BMW enthusiasts.
