**Leapmotor Unveils Two New Models in China's Electric Vehicle Market**

Leapmotor, a leading Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, is making waves in the industry with the launch of two new models this month. The company is set to introduce the facelifted 2026 Leapmotor C11 crossover and the Leapmotor B01 electric sedan, aiming to capture different segments of the growing EV market in China.

**1. Facelifted Model: 2026 Leapmotor C11**

Pre-sales for the updated Leapmotor C11 began on July 3, 2025, with a starting price of approximately RMB 158,800 (around $22,160). The updated model features a redesigned front bumper with integrated headlights, a trapeze-shaped active grille replacing the frameless grille, and a single taillight unit at the rear. Exterior styling is now uniform between the Extended Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) and Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) variants.

Both EREV and BEV options are available for the updated C11. The BEV version features an upgraded motor power of 220 kW (up from 200 kW), allowing 0-100 km/h acceleration in approximately 6 seconds. It is equipped with an 81.9 kWh battery pack. Inside, the vehicle boasts a new 17-inch 2K floating touchscreen, a new D-shaped two-spoke steering wheel, a redesigned center tunnel with two wireless phone charging pads, and a hidden storage compartment.

The updated C11 aims to compete with mid-size electric crossovers from rivals like BYD and Nio in China’s EV SUV segment. Leapmotor is backed by Stellantis, which acquired a 20% stake in 2024, signaling a push for higher quality and competitiveness.

**2. New Model: Leapmotor B01 Electric Sedan**

The Leapmotor B01 electric sedan, available for pre-order as of June 30, 2025, starts at RMB 105,800 (about $14,700), targeting the entry-level market segment. The vehicle offers a range of up to 650 km (CLTC cycle) on the highest trims, while other trims offer a range of 550 km.

The B01 is equipped with Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery options of 56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh, with fast charging capability from 30% to 80% in 18 minutes. It can be configured in single- or dual-motor variants, with a maximum output of 292 kW, making the fastest trim accelerate 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds.

Leapmotor aims to undercut rivals with competitive range and pricing, targeting 40,000 monthly sales for the B01. The vehicle will be the second model in Leapmotor's B series, following the launch of the B10 SUV on April 10.

Leapmotor's strategic moves demonstrate an aggressive approach to capturing various segments of China's EV market, from affordable sedans to competitive mid-size electric SUVs. The company launched the B01 sedan in June and the updated C11 SUV in early July. The updated C11 BEV offers a CLTC range of 640 kilometers and continues to offer EREV and BEV variants.

Leapmotor's sales continue to soar, with the company delivering 48,006 vehicles in June, marking the second consecutive month of record-breaking sales. The company also posted a lower year-on-year net loss and a record gross margin.
