Century Lithium's Angel Island Project Advances as a Domestic Lithium Supply Source

Century Lithium's President and CEO, Bill Willoughby, stated that the collaboration between Century Lithium and Alpha-En Corporation, a Hopewell Junction, New York-based company with a patented room-temperature conversion process for producing lithium-metal anodes (Li-MA), is a testament to the quality of Century Lithium's material and its technical capabilities.
Century Lithium provided Alpha-En with a sample of 99.8% pure lithium carbonate from Angel Island, which was used to produce Li-MA. The resulting lithium metal exceeded the quality of battery-grade lithium carbonate from a commercial non-domestic source in a pilot test.
