Collaboration of Huntress with CyberCert Enhances Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises' Cybersecurity Resilience
In a significant move to bolster the cybersecurity landscape for small and medium businesses (SMBs), Huntress, a leading cybersecurity company, has partnered with CyberCert to bring the SMB1001 standard to their partner ecosystem.
The SMB1001 standard, spearheaded by Reece Appleton, the Huntress Asia Pacific Regional Director, aims to help partners take their customers on a cybersecurity improvement journey. This standard offers a tangible cybersecurity outcome for SMBs, providing structured cyber resilience and compliance solutions at a lower cost.
The collaboration between Huntress and CyberCert is designed to democratize access to cybersecurity standards for SMBs. It enables partners to certify themselves and their customers against the SMB1001 standard, choosing from Bronze, Silver, and Gold Certificates.
Huntress is subsidizing a number of SMB1001 certification subscriptions for partners, making it more accessible for them to adopt this standard. Furthermore, partners can select from certificate bundles for customer use, providing flexibility in meeting their customers' needs.
Peter Maynard, Co-Founder and CEO of CyberCert, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "This collaboration will deliver the SMB1001 cybersecurity standard via the Huntress partner ecosystem, empowering partners to demonstrate value and provide real cybersecurity outcomes for their customers."
Reece Appleton believes that partners demonstrating value and real cybersecurity outcomes for their customers will differentiate in the competitive market. He stated, "The SMB1001 standard is not a replacement for recognized frameworks or standards like the Essential Eight or ISO 27001. Instead, it can be used in conjunction with or as a pathway to these established standards."
The partnership will offer SMB1001 certifications for several Huntress managed service provider (MSP) partners, helping them to stand out in the market. The investment from Huntress will enable partners to certify themselves to the Gold certification, signifying a high level of commitment to cybersecurity.
The SMB1001 standard fills a significant gap in the SME space, offering a practical and affordable solution for enhancing cybersecurity. With this collaboration, Huntress and CyberCert are set to revolutionize the cybersecurity landscape for SMBs.
