Odin.Fun Suffers $7 Million Hack: Platform Cooperates with Exchanges and Law Enforcement

In a shocking turn of events, the meme coin platform Odin.Fun has fallen victim to a cyber attack that resulted in the loss of approximately 58.2 BTC (equivalent to around $7 million). The attack, which took place in August 2025, was facilitated by a vulnerability in the platform's automatic market maker (AMM) tool.

The attackers artificially inflated the prices of worthless tokens such as SATOSHI and ODINPEPE, then withdrew liquidity, obtaining bitcoins in the process. This was achieved through a method that involved injecting these tokens into liquidity pools, conducting self-trades to inflate their prices, exploiting logic flaws in the AMM, and withdrawing excessive BTC relative to the token value. Simultaneous attacks were carried out using multiple accounts created specifically for the exploit.

The platform's co-founder, Bodily, has confirmed the hack and stated that most of the hackers have already been identified. He also issued a warning to the hackers, stating that they have a short time to return the funds. Bodily has also mentioned that Chinese cybercriminal networks may have been involved in the incident.

In response to the hack, Odin.Fun is conducting a full security audit and has appealed to US law enforcement for assistance. The platform is also cooperating with exchanges OKX and Binance in the investigation. These exchanges have contacted Chinese authorities regarding the incident in efforts to trace the illicit funds and identify the attackers.

Odin.Fun's team is working on compensation for affected users, but the details have not been finalized yet. The platform's treasury lacks sufficient funds to fully compensate affected users, so the team is working diligently to trace and recover the stolen funds.

The team at Odin.Fun remains committed to returning the stolen funds and ensuring the security of the platform for its users. They are urging anyone with information regarding the hack to come forward and assist in the recovery efforts.
