dcbel Unveils r16 Home Energy Station, Gets Strategic Boost from Volvo Cars Tech Fund

dcbel, a North American smart home energy company, has unveiled the r16 Home Energy Station. This innovative product allows customers to harness solar power for their homes and electric vehicles (EVs), and offers vehicle-to-home charging capabilities. The company has received a strategic investment from Volvo Cars Tech Fund, aiding its research and development efforts.

The r16 Home Energy Station, dcbel's latest offering, enables users to reduce energy costs through AI-driven management. It facilitates bi-directional charging, allowing EVs to power homes during outages and vice versa. This smart home energy system is designed to integrate seamlessly with solar panels, providing a comprehensive energy solution.

Volvo Cars Tech Fund, an investment arm of the Sweden-based car manufacturer Volvo Cars, has backed dcbel's vision. The fund's investment will support dcbel's ongoing research and development, further enhancing its smart home energy systems. Daniel Cheng, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of dcbel Inc., leads the company's strategic direction.

dcbel's legal team, advised by Hoskin & Harcourt LLP, was instrumental in finalising the deal. The legal team consisted of Shahir Guindi, Daniel Stysis, and Michelle Lally.
