Developers from Arbitrum establish Onchain Labs Accelerator Program

In a recent collaboration, Onchain Labs, in tandem with the Arbitrum Foundation, has established the Onchain Labs Incubator to nurture innovative and experimental decentralized applications (dApps) within the Arbitrum Layer 2 (L2) network.

The joint initiative aims to bolster the Arbitrum app layer as Onchain Labs continues to innovate in scaling infrastructure. The incubator will provide projects with consultancy services for product development and market entry, yet will not allocate operational resources.

The incubator will back projects keen on offering fair token generation event (TGE) conditions to foster community unity. While there is no definitive decision regarding Tandem, the firm's venture division, the possibility of it acquiring tokens on public markets remains an option.

"We are channeling resources to empower developers who wish to rapidly expand the application layer on Arbitrum," the announcement declared, expressing confidence in the creation of industry-leading dApps through this partnership.

Meanwhile, Movemaker, an official public organization associated with the Aptos Foundation, introduced a $2 million grant program and opened Aptos Space, a co-working space for developers in Hong Kong. This initiative aims to strengthen the blockchain ecosystem and propel Web3 innovation by supporting talented individuals and extraordinary projects. The prime targets are developers from Greater China, but global teams are also welcome to participate. Funding will be allocated for financial, strategic, and technical support for dApps in various sectors, such as DeFi, AI, payment solutions, stablecoins, and real-world assets (RWA).

In January 2025, Arbitrum DAO initiated a vote on upgrading the L2 solutions, Arbitrum One and Nova, permitting the implementation of the BoLD dispute resolution protocol. A year prior, Offchain Labs deployed BoLD in the testnet.

The Onchain Labs Incubator, part of the collaboration with the Arbitrum Foundation, will support projects developing innovative dApps on the Arbitrum L2 network, including those in the decentralized finance (Defi) sector. As the initiative forges ahead, there may be opportunities for technology advancements within the Defi domain.
