In the world of sports broadcasting, Brandon Gaudin has made a name for himself as the play-by-play voice of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves and EA Sports' Madden NFL video game franchise.

Gaudin's journey in the broadcasting industry began in the minor leagues, where he honed his skills and developed a passion for the game. After studying broadcasting at Butler University in Indianapolis, Gaudin moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where he has lived and worked ever since.

Gaudin's career took a significant turn in 2016 when he was approached by EA Sports to be the voice of Madden NFL. Initially, Gaudin thought it was a practical joke, but after receiving a LinkedIn message from the game developers and signing an NDA, he was offered an audition for the job. Since then, Gaudin has been the voice of Madden NFL for eight or nine years, a partnership that has been fruitful for both Gaudin and EA Sports.

The partnership with Madden NFL has also regularly gotten Gaudin recognized by rideshare drivers by voice alone, a testament to the impact of his work.

In 2013, Gaudin became the football and basketball voice for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, a role he held until 2016. It was during this time that Gaudin felt that the audition for the Madden NFL job had gone well, but he feared he may be up against stiff competition.

However, Gaudin's dream of calling a game for the Braves was about to come true. In 2015, EA Sports asked him to sign an NDA and offered him a chance to replace Jim Nantz and be the next voice on Madden NFL. Two months later, Gaudin was informed he had been chosen for the role, and in 2023, he achieved his dream when he became the Braves' television announcer.

Gaudin's debut in the Truist Park television booth at the Braves' home opener in 2023 produced one of his favorite calls of his career, courtesy of an Orlando Arcia single and a play at the plate.

The Braves were the only big league team in the southeast until MLB expansion brought baseball to Florida in the 1990s. Gaudin, who grew up in Evansville, Indiana, did not root for local teams like the Cincinnati Reds or St. Louis Cardinals. Instead, he developed his love for the Braves and his passion for broadcasting through cable television.

Today, Gaudin lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia, where he continues to bring excitement and enthusiasm to the world of sports broadcasting. From the Braves' home games to the virtual fields of Madden NFL, Gaudin's voice is a familiar and beloved one to sports fans across the globe.
