DMCC Welcomes 200 New British Companies, Boosting Total to Nearly 2,200
DMCC, a global trade and innovation hub, has seen significant growth with nearly 200 new British companies joining in the last year, boosting its total to almost 2,200. This expansion was highlighted at the recent CV Summit in Zurich, where DMCC was a Platinum Sponsor, further strengthening the Dubai-Zug ecosystem.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, DMCC's Executive Chairman and CEO, emphasized the hub's role in providing global reach, scalable platforms, and integrated ecosystems for companies in AI, blockchain, climate tech, and sustainability. This has led to a 10% growth in Swiss and British companies over the past year.
Swiss company presence in DMCC has expanded to nearly 450 firms, reflecting a 120% surge in UAE-Switzerland non-oil trade in the first half of 2025. DMCC's contribution to Dubai's annual FDI inflows and GDP is notable, at 15% and 7% respectively. One in ten British companies operating in DMCC are in tech sectors, reflecting Dubai's growing appeal as a hub for technology-led businesses and international trade.
DMCC's expansion demonstrates its position as a global trade and innovation gateway. Together, Swiss and British companies account for over 10% of DMCC's member base. The UK Department for Business and Trade in London and the Zurich Cantonal Economic Development Authority collaborated during DMCC's Europe tour in 2025 to support its international growth.
