Electric Suv Offering Over 290 Miles on a Single Charge: Features Dual Phone Chargers in Subaru's Uncharted Compact Crossover Model

The automotive industry is abuzz with the announcement of Subaru's latest creation, the 2026 Uncharted. This all-electric compact crossover SUV is set to make waves in the market, promising a blend of competitive pricing, Subaru's renowned all-wheel drive technology, and impressive electric performance.

Pricing for the Uncharted is estimated to start around $34,000, with higher trims reaching up to $38,000. This places the Uncharted in a competitive range against other EVs like the Hyundai Kona Electric and Kia Niro EV.

The Uncharted will be available in three trims: the Premium FWD, the Sport AWD, and the top-tier GT AWD. The base Premium FWD model, equipped with front-wheel drive and a single motor, is likely to deliver 221 horsepower and an estimated range of 300 miles per charge. The Sport and GT trims, boasting dual-motor all-wheel drive and up to 338 horsepower, are expected to offer an estimated range of 290 miles.

The Sport and GT trims will also come with Subaru's StarTex® water-repellent upholstery as standard, a feature designed to enhance comfort and practicality. The GT trim will further include luxury features such as ventilated front seats, a Harman Kardon® premium audio system, a panoramic moonroof with motorized shade, and 20-inch alloy wheels.

The Uncharted's design is a testament to Subaru's commitment to electrification and evolution. The vehicle features a clean and linear dashboard, accented by orange stitching and subtle ambient lighting. The exterior showcases bold body lines, a high beltline, and seamless LED tail lamps, while the GT trim sports a high-contrast, two-tone roof.

Subaru has also ensured that the Uncharted is equipped for long-distance travel, with a high-speed 150-kW charging capability that can charge the battery from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes. The Uncharted will also use the North American Charging Standard (NACS) connector, granting access to Tesla's Supercharger network.

Rear legroom in the Uncharted is comparable to that of the Subaru Crosstrek, and heated rear outboard seats will be available on the GT trim. The Uncharted also boasts a cargo space of 25 cubic feet behind the second row.

Safety is a top priority for Subaru, and the Uncharted offers a full suite of its EyeSight® driver-assist technologies. The vehicle's proportions are tight and modern, with low-profile roof rails coming standard on AWD models.

The Uncharted represents Subaru's move into the electric vehicle market and a significant evolution in its offerings. With its competitive pricing, impressive performance, and commitment to sustainability, the 2026 Subaru Uncharted is poised to be a game-changer in the compact crossover SUV segment.
