Electronic scooter promotion initiative initiated by the Unna County Police Department
On Tuesday, 01.07.2025, the Unna Police Headquarters will launch a new campaign called "Minus Aura!" to promote E-scooter safety in the district, excluding Lünen. The campaign aims to reduce and prevent future E-scooter accidents by educating the public on proper usage. To achieve this, the police have printed postcards with short warnings about what is not allowed on E-scooters. These postcards will be placed in police patrol cars and distributed at citizen encounters. The postcards feature concise facts about E-scooter usage, such as the age limit of 14 and the requirement to ride on bike paths or streets. The back of the postcards carries the same information. In addition to the postcards, posters featuring what is not allowed on E-scooters with the campaign slogan "Minus Aura!" will be distributed to schools before the summer holidays. The Unna Police Headquarters is also extending the campaign to schools in the district. To facilitate journalistic inquiries regarding the "Minus Aura!" campaign, Bernd Pentrop can be reached at 02303-921 1150 or [email protected]. For inquiries outside of office hours, contact the Unna Police Headquarters' Control Center at 02303-921 3535 or [email protected]. The Unna Police Headquarters' official website is https://unna.polizei.nrw, where you can find more information about the campaign. The police will also publish the "Minus Aura!" campaign on social media platforms, including their WhatsApp channel, Instagram, and Facebook. The term "Minus Aura" is a term from youth slang that refers to losing one's presence due to embarrassing or clumsy behavior. The Unna Police Headquarters encourages everyone to avoid a "Minus Aura" moment when using E-scooters. Stay safe and responsible on the roads, and let's make the Unna district a safer place for everyone.
