Game developer Ubisoft offers a complimentary play weekend for The Division 2, following the release of its second downloadable content (DLC).

Enjoy a complimentary play on all gaming platforms for The Division 2, courtesy of Xbox Game Pass from the stated period.

In a significant turn of events for The Division 2, the highly-anticipated free play weekend commences on May 29, 3 p.m. UTC, concluding on June 2, 12 p.m. UTC. This week-long event comes hot on the heels of the launch of The Division 2's second expansion, Battle for Brooklyn, and the game's addition to Xbox Game Pass on both PC and console platforms.

Players can now access a substantial amount of the game's content free of charge, regardless of whether they are on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. However, it's important to note that the new DLC will not be playable during the free trial. The base game and the first expansion, Warlords of New York, are now bundled together as a single package, offering plenty to explore.

To participate in the free trial, simply visit your platform's store, be it Xbox Store or Ubisoft Connect (on PC, Ubisoft Connect is the only available option). Install the free trial version, and any progress made during the trial period will carry over if you decide to purchase the game.

Notably, there are substantial discounts of up to 90% available for those opting to purchase the game outright. It's advisable to bypass the cheapest option, which only includes the base game, and instead opt for the Gold Edition, now priced at 60% off. This edition includes the new Battle for Brooklyn DLC.

For those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription, access to The Division 2 is included as part of the subscription benefits. Meanwhile, on Steam, the base game is currently heavily discounted, but it's unclear whether the Gold Edition or the DLC bundled with it is similarly discounted.

Prepare to jump back into the intense world of The Division 2, and seize this opportunity to experience the game for free during the upcoming weekend.

  1. With the game's addition to Xbox Game Pass on both PC and console platforms, players can now enjoy The Division 2 on various gadgets like Windows PCs and Xbox Series X.
  2. If you decide to purchase the game after the free trial, consider opting for the Gold Edition, which offers the Base game, the Battle for Brooklyn DLC, and savings of up to 60% on Windows 11 and Xbox stores.
  3. For avid Xbox gamers, access to The Division 2 is included in the Xbox Game Pass subscription, along with a multitude of other gaming titles on Windows 11 and Xbox Series X|S.
  4. This week-long free play weekend (May 29 - June 2) provides an excellent opportunity for tech enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the exciting world of gaming, involving Windows 11, the Xbox, and The Division 2 on PC and console platforms.
