The cycling world is abuzz with excitement as Enve unveils its latest innovation, the SES 4.5 Pro wheelset. This new offering promises to be lighter, stiffer, more aerodynamic, and stronger than its predecessor, setting a new standard in high-performance cycling.

The SES 4.5 Pro incorporates several key innovations and improvements. One of the most notable changes is the updated rim design. The wheelset features a slightly reduced rim depth of 49mm front and 55mm rear, with a narrower external profile. This design maintains an internal rim width of 23.5mm, optimized for 28mm tires, providing both aerodynamics and versatility for different tire widths.

Enve has also utilized higher modulus, lower weight fibers in the SES 4.5 Pro, resulting in a significant weight reduction of approximately 50 grams per rim. This contributes to a total wheelset weight of just 1295 grams, including valves and tape.

The SES 4.5 Pro integrates an ultralight version of ENVE's ratchet hub, featuring a 40t mechanism and ceramic bearings. These components are designed to enhance durability and reduce drag, improving overall performance. Enve has also developed its own ceramic bearings to address the limitations of off-the-shelf options. These bearings offer weight savings, increased durability, and lower rolling resistance, further enhancing the wheelset's performance.

The SES 4.5 Pro was developed in collaboration with UAE Team Emirates and Tadej Pogačar, reflecting a focus on optimizing performance for demanding courses with big climbs and fast descents. The front hub weighs 87 grams, and the rear weighs 194 grams, shaving 60 grams over the existing Innerdrive hub.

The new wheelset, named the SES 4.5 Pro, has a 'mini hook' bead, switching away from hookless. It also boasts a thinner inner rim channel and an aero tire pressure of 100psi / 6.8bar. Enve has given the new 4.5 Pro wheels a five-year warranty on its Pro Ceramic bearings.

The SES 4.5 Pro will be used by UAE Team Emirates - XRG and World Champion Tadej Pogačar at the Tour de France, starting this month. The new 4.5 Pro wheels are 1mm shallower and narrower than the standard 4.5 model, offering improved aerodynamics and handling.

Enve has conducted extensive testing for the new SES 4.5 Pro, including in-frame aero testing, wind tunnel and CFD analysis, as well as on-road testing. The result is a wheelset that delivers unparalleled performance and versatility for cyclists seeking to push their limits.

With the SES 4.5 Pro, Enve continues to set the bar high in the world of cycling innovation, offering a wheelset that is lighter, faster, and more aerodynamic than ever before. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a passionate amateur, the SES 4.5 Pro is sure to elevate your cycling experience.

Gadget lovers might be intrigued by the latest development in the cycling world, as Enve's SES 4.5 Pro wheelset showcases advances in technology, featuring lighter weights and enhanced aerodynamics. This introduction of cutting-edge technology into the realm of sports equipment is a testament to the convergence of technology and sports, offering exciting possibilities for cyclists.
