ESA Launches NTN Forum to Revolutionize Global Communications

The European Space Agency (ESA) has launched the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) Forum, a collaborative platform for developing non-terrestrial network technologies. Sateliot's Chief Technology Officer, Marco Guadalupi, has been appointed to the NTN Forum's steering board, marking a significant step in the advancement of global, space-based communications.

The NTN Forum, comprising 288 professionals from 144 organisations across 31 countries, aims to tackle challenges in building NTN capabilities for global communications. With the goal of implementing non-terrestrial network solutions for 5G Advanced and 6G networks, the forum seeks to harness the potential of non-terrestrial networks in providing coverage for these next-generation mobile networks.

Guadalupi, who leads Sateliot's technological advancements in Spain, will now guide the development of NTNs as part of the steering board. His expertise will be invaluable in driving the forum's mission to accelerate NTN adoption and foster innovation in the field.
