Expanded AI security measures offered by Onapsis to counter potential threats against SAP systems
Onapsis, a leading provider of SAP application security and compliance solutions, has announced updates to its platform aimed at addressing the security challenges faced by organizations modernizing their SAP systems and migrating to SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP environments.
Backed by over 15 years of threat experience from Onapsis Research Labs, the platform is designed to provide comprehensive security for mission-critical SAP systems. The updates cover the areas of Control (application security auditing), Defend (threat monitoring), and the Onapsis Platform's Security Advisor.
One of the key updates is the integration of Control Central into Microsoft Azure Pipelines, allowing for integrated security for DevOps. This feature enables teams to embed automated code scans and quality gates directly into CI/CD workflows, offering extended support for the SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
The Onapsis Security Advisor is also being improved, with extended trend analysis, new customizable visualization tools, and an "Age of Issues" tracker. Updates to Defend enable customers to create custom alarms based on any activities in ABAP logs.
The completely redesigned homepage of Defend provides a comprehensive dashboard that displays incidents, configuration issues, and long-term trend analyses. These updates aim to help customers better understand their SAP risk profile, prioritize key actions, and document the progress of their company's security over time.
Onapsis emphasizes that given the increasing targeting of SAP applications by threat actors, SAP security is more business-critical than ever, especially with the accelerated migration of SAP customers to the cloud through RISE with SAP and the 2027 S/4HANA migration deadline.
The updates will be available to customers by the end of the second quarter of 2025. Prices and further details are available through Onapsis sales representatives or authorized system integrators.
Organizations across industries such as industrial chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing, energy, and utilities that seek to secure their ERP systems during digital transformation while complying with regulatory audits and government oversight will benefit most from these platform updates.
Onapsis' application security and compliance platform is supported by SAP. More information can be found on the Onapsis website: Onapsis Platform
