Expanded ASCENDO Infrasonic Subwoofers now come in sizes of 64 and 100 inches, an upgrading of their prior models.

New ASCENDO The64 SUB PRO and The100 SUB PRO Subwoofers Push Boundaries of Infrasonic Bass Reproduction

ASCENDO Immersive Audio GmbH has announced two new models of infrasonic subwoofers: the The64 SUB PRO Passive Infrasonic Sealed 64-inch model and the The100 SUB PRO Passive Infrasonic Sealed 100-inch models. These new subwoofers represent a significant step forward in infrasonic passive subwoofer technology.

The new subwoofers push the boundaries of low-frequency reproduction with advanced engineering that delivers deeper bass extension and exceptional control of infrasonic bass frequencies. The large 64-inch and 100-inch cone sizes are among the largest available, enabling true infrasonic performance with unmatched depth and power.

The subwoofers use a sealed enclosure design specifically tuned for infrasonic response, providing cleaner and more precise bass without the drawbacks of ported boxes such as resonance or phase issues. The large and robust sealed cabinets also contribute to improved sound fidelity and structural integrity essential for handling extreme bass pressures.

ASCENDO has optimized the enclosure dimensions to improve performance, and optional application-specific enclosures for THE64 and THE100 feature improved internal bracing for increased rigidity and control. The enclosure depth has been increased to 100 cm, further extending the frequency response into the infrasonic region.

The upgraded suspension system of the new subwoofers includes quad spiders, repositioned and optimized, for increased excursion across the entire range, both linear and nonlinear. New single-piece, custom-designed surround tooling supports greater and more linear excursion in the new subwoofers. Advanced spider materials used in the new subwoofers include carefully selected spider fabrics and resins, offering higher compliance and noise-free operation at extreme excursions.

ASCENDO has fine-tuned its multi-density internal damping materials to lower the system's resonance frequency. The new subwoofers redefine ultra-low-frequency reproduction, with improvements made to motor, suspension, enclosure, and damping.

A significant reduction in Q has been achieved, resulting in perfect impulse response with ultra-low group delay. The new model names now reflect the pro industry method of including the driver basket in the dimensions. An optimized, shallower compliance curve in the new subwoofers improves linear motion and control at infrasonic frequencies.

ASCENDO has introduced a new field-replaceable re-cone kit for quick and efficient serviceability in the field. The new subwoofers combine enormous driver sizes and refined sealed cabinet engineering to achieve superior infrasonic bass reproduction with precision, suited for the highest-end custom audio installations.

The The64 replaces ASCENDO's The50 SUB PRO Passive Infrasonic Sealed model, and the The100 replaces The80 SUB PRO Passive Infrasonic Sealed. Overall, these new ASCENDO subwoofers represent a significant step forward in infrasonic passive subwoofer technology.

The new ASCENDO subwoofers, The64 SUB PRO and The100 SUB PRO, showcase advancements in technology, particularly in the realm of infrasonic bass reproduction. These gadgets, with their large cone sizes, redefine ultra-low-frequency technology, offering true infrasonic performance and exceptional control.
