Bluebay Asset Management Expands ESG Investment Team
Bluebay Asset Management, a subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Canada, has strengthened its commitment to sustainable investment practices by expanding its in-house ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) investment team. This expansion reflects Bluebay’s dedication as a specialized fixed income team within RBC Global Asset Management to advance sustainable investment practices in their global fixed income offerings.
Elena Koycheva, based in London, has taken on a new role as the ESG Institutional Portfolio Manager at Bluebay Asset Management. Koycheva joined the company nearly five years ago, serving previously as a Senior RFP Writer in the Global Business Development Team. During her tenure, she played a key role in integrating ESG criteria into Bluebay's investment strategies.
Joining Koycheva is Emma Whiteacre, who has been appointed as the Head of ESG Solutions at Bluebay Asset Management. Whiteacre, also based in London, will lead the development and implementation of ESG integration and sustainability strategies across BlueBay's investment capabilities. Her focus will be on aligning portfolios with responsible investment standards and client sustainability goals.
Whiteacre previously served as a Country Analyst at an unspecified company and chaired the Responsible Business Committee at the Beazley Group. Prior to joining Bluebay, she joined the firm as a Senior ESG Analyst.
Emma Whiteacre and Elena Koycheva are members of the expanded ESG investment team at BlueBay Asset Management. Their roles and focus involve integrating ESG considerations into the firm’s investment processes to enhance sustainable fixed income investment strategies.
My-Linh Ngo continues to serve as the Head of ESG Investment and Portfolio Manager at Bluebay Asset Management, overseeing the team's efforts to deliver ESG-integrated fixed income products and solutions.
Whiteacre will support ESG investment management, with a focus on climate change. Together, the expanded ESG team will work towards Bluebay's wider goal of incorporating rigorous ESG research alongside traditional credit and macroeconomic analysis.
