Extron Unveils New Line of AV Solutions
Extron, a leading provider of professional AV solutions, has announced the launch of several new products designed to enhance the AV experience in various settings.
The DA HD 8K L Series
The DA HD 8K L Series is a new line of distribution amplifiers for HDMI 2.1 signals. These amplifiers support resolutions up to 8K/30 at 4:4:4 and feature compact, low-profile enclosures that can be mounted in a rack or discreetly installed beneath a table or desk.
The DA HD 8K L Series comes with EDID Minder Plus for support of additional memory blocks and Key Minder for simultaneous distribution of HDCP-encrypted content. Input cable equalization restores and reshapes incoming HDMI signals, ensuring a clear and sharp display. Outputs can be muted independently, allowing video and/or audio content to be previewed on a local monitor.
The Extron Wallplate Dante Audio Interface
The Extron Wallplate Dante Audio Interface, named AXI 22 AT D Plus, is a single-gang decorator-style Dante audio interface. It integrates two mic/line sources onto a Dante-enabled audio system and features two XLR audio inputs with switchable 48 volt phantom power. The AXI 22 AT D Plus interfaces with any Dante-equipped audio processor and can be powered through PoE, allowing a single network cable connection for bidirectional audio, control, and power.
The SMP 401 Multi-Channel 4K Recording and Streaming Media Processor
The SMP 401 is an all-in-one 4K/60 processor from Extron, now available. It captures, switches, scales, and distributes AV sources and presentations. The user-friendly front panel LCD screen enables video preview for confidence monitoring and simple menu navigation for easy configuration.
The SMP 401 supports up to 4K resolution video and can perform dual recording and streaming at the same time, enabling flexible content capture and delivery. It integrates seamlessly with platforms like the YuJa Enterprise Video Platform, allowing scheduling and automation of recordings and live streams, automatic publishing workflows, and secure streaming using RTMP protocol. Once recordings are made, the device can automatically upload videos to a designated media library folder for easy access and management.
The MVC 121 xi and the AXI 22 AT D Plus
The MVC 121 xi is a new three source audio mixer with audio DSP for mixing and signal processing. It features a stereo line level input, two mic/line level inputs with 48 volt phantom power, and fixed and variable stereo line level outputs.
The AXI 22 AT D Plus can be remotely controlled via the network for each input and has two line outputs for routing any two Dante channels from the network.
The SMP 401's Advanced Audio DSP
The advanced audio DSP in the SMP 401 facilitates independent mixing per channel and supports line or mic level audio, with phantom power for microphones. Color bit depth is automatically adjusted based on the display EDID, ensuring optimal visual performance.
Each distribution amplifier in the DA HD 8K L line supports data rates up to 40.1 Gbps, HDR, Deep Color up to 12 bits, 3D, and HD lossless audio formats. The SMP 401 has three HDMI inputs, two RTP/RTSP virtual inputs, and an optional 12G-SDI input.
