Faster Setup and Extended Functionality Unveiled in Latest KLANG System Update

KLANG Technologies, a leading innovator in personal mixing systems, has launched a new operating system, KOS 5.5. This latest update is now available for free download, promising to simplify and enhance the user experience for KLANG's second-generation devices such as the :konductor, :kontroller, and :vokal, as well as DiGiCo's DMI-KLANG card.

One of the key features of KOS 5.5 is the streamlined setup process. The setup time for KLANG devices has been significantly reduced, making it easier for users to get up and running quickly. In addition, identifying devices that require setup for a show has been simplified within the KLANG:app.

The KLANG:app now includes a dedicated section for system notifications, with a history feature for scrolling through past notifications. This feature provides a clear and intuitive way for users to oversee connected devices and devices that require setup for a show.

Another significant improvement is the Dante Follow update, which simplifies the separation of Dante and Control networks, improving Dante network stability and latency headroom. This update allows for the automatic patching of Dante channels to a KLANG mix directly from KLANG:app and KLANG:kontroller without the need for Dante Controller.

The DMI-KLANG mounted in an Orange Box can now be configured and show the settings of the audio I/O DMI card remotely via KLANG:app, eliminating the need for the Orange Box controller software.

DiGiCo console integration will be fully realized with DiGiCo's upcoming software release, V1742. This integration ensures that console and KLANG channel labels are in sync, and firing a snapshot on the Quantum or SD-Range console will fire the corresponding snapshot in KLANG.

System administrators can now remotely save and load mix presets on :kontrollers or :apps in Personal Mode using KLANG:app. This feature provides greater flexibility and convenience for managing multiple devices.

KOS 5.5 offers standalone functionality and serves as the backend for the new DiGiCo console integration. New Root-intensity EQ Presets in KOS 5.5 enable quicker setup of a personal mixing system.

In addition, KLANG devices can now format USB drives for software updates and copy their internal software version to update other devices. This feature makes it easier for users to keep their devices up-to-date and ensures that all devices are running the latest software.

While the company that developed and released the new operating system KOS 5.5 is not identified in the provided search results, the availability of the update for free download is now open. This update is set to revolutionise the personal mixing system market, offering users a more intuitive and streamlined experience.
