In 2025, the 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) in Guangzhou shined a spotlight on China's commitment to green and low-carbon development.

Several eco-friendly and energy-efficient products were front and center. Foreign buyers were drawn to smart refrigerators and intelligent waste bins, designed to conserve energy and aid in waste management, demonstrating China's focus on intelligent technology and environmental sustainability.

One innovative product was a foam tile launched by a Guangdong ceramic company using solid waste recycling technology. This tile can be recycled numerous times, using industrial solid waste as raw materials and incorporating leftover scraps back into production - a prime example of the circular economy.

Over 60% of participating enterprises boasted domestic and international green and low-carbon certifications, displaying about 880,000 green and low-carbon products. These products included advanced, recyclable exhibition materials, showcasing sustainable production and display methods.
