Fundraising announcement for Flipspaces, a commercial interior design firm, securing $50 million in their Series C investment round
In a significant development for the interior design and build industry, Flipspaces, a technology-focused company, has secured an additional $50 million in its Series C funding round. This follows a $35 million investment earlier this year, which was led by Iron Pillar and participated in by Synergy Capital Partners and Prashasta Seth.
The early investor group that exited during this funding round is Carpediem Capital. The latest round saw participation from CE-Invests (UAE), Panthera Growth Partners (Singapore), and SMBC Asia Rising Fund (Japan).
Founded in 2015 by Kunal Sharma, Ankur Muchhal, Vikash Anand, and Mrinal Sharma, Flipspaces' mission is to build a technology-first ecosystem that is reshaping the future of interior design and building globally. The company's proprietary technology includes AI-led tools, immersive virtual-reality walkthroughs, and artificial-intelligence software to improve efficiency, cost transparency, and timely delivery.
The deployment of the Series C funding proceeds will focus on three areas: strengthening Flipspaces' proprietary technology, scaling geographic footprint, and pursuing acquisitions.
Flipspaces operates with a platform-driven model that connects business development, design, supply chain, and project management. The company's geographic footprint includes operations in India, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates. In India, the company has primarily focused on office design, while in the United States, it has extensively worked with restaurants and cafes.
The company's portfolio spans over 1,000 projects covering more than eight million square feet across India, the United States, and the UAE. Recently, Flipspaces has added large enterprise clients such as Adani, Genpact, and Larsen & Toubro to its portfolio.
Kunal Sharma, the founder and CEO of Flipspaces, has announced plans for the deployment of Series C funding proceeds. The latest round enabled an exit for early investor Carpediem Capital. With the new funds, Flipspaces plans to expand operations across India, the United States, and the United Arab Emirates.
This funding round brings Flipspaces' cumulative Series C capital raised to over $85 million. The company is well-positioned to continue its growth and innovation in the interior design and build industry, leveraging its technology-first approach to deliver efficient, cost-effective, and timely solutions to its clients.
