Haivision Dispatches New User Interface for Haivision Pro Transmitter Model
Haivision Unveils Redesigned User Interface for Pro Transmitter Software
Haivision, a leading provider of high-quality video streaming solutions, has announced the release of a redesigned user interface for its Pro transmitter software. According to Jean-Marc Racine, the company's chief product officer, this update is at the core of how Haivision develops products, aiming to improve the ease with which video professionals can use the product.
The new interface is consistent with the user face of Makito X4 and other Haivision products, fostering greater ease of use, reducing training requirements, and enabling efficient management of complex broadcast contribution workflows involving wired (SRT) and wireless (SST) video streaming. This consistency extends across Haivision Pro, Makito X4, and other Haivision products.
The new interface offers reorganized navigation, a familiar user experience, confidence monitoring at a glance, a versatile design, and one-tap filtering. It is also browser-based, highly functional, and visually compelling, simplifying configuration and enabling users to manage live video transmission remotely.
One of the key features of the updated Pro transmitter software is the Advanced Store & Forward capability. This allows the PRO encoder to simultaneously record high-resolution video locally and broadcast a lower bitrate live stream in areas with limited network connectivity. The high-quality recording can then be forwarded automatically later to master control for airing, offering reliable live coverage even in fringe or low-signal zones.
The software also supports up to two QUAD external passive antennas and integrates with Haivision’s QUAD CellLink active antenna system. These antennas improve cellular signal reception, especially in challenging environments like inside vehicles where metal can block signals, enabling more stable bonded cellular transmission.
Moreover, the Pro series devices use updated HEVC (H.265) encoding for efficient video compression, which maintains video quality while reducing bandwidth usage. This is important for real-time broadcast contribution and streaming workflows.
These features collectively enhance user experience by enabling more reliable and higher-quality live broadcasts in challenging network conditions, reducing interruptions, and providing workflow flexibility with concurrent high-resolution recording. The integration of advanced antennas and encoding technologies also simplifies field operations and optimizes video streaming performance over bonded cellular and IP networks.
Haivision's new user interface design will be showcased at the 2025 NAB Show, booth W2221. For more information about the new user interface, visit Haivision's website.
Haivision Pro is well-suited for transmitting live video over both public and private 5G networks, providing a complete ecosystem of broadcast products to get live video feeds from any event to the broadcast production environment, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
