High-end audio brand Devialet reveals Phantom Ultimate, the pinnacle of luxury audio design engineering
In a groundbreaking development, French acoustic engineering company Devialet has launched the Phantom Ultimate speakers. These high-end audio devices, unveiled on March 23, 2023, are the latest addition to Devialet's innovative product line.
The Phantom Ultimate collection includes two models: the Phantom Ultimate 108 dB and the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB. Both speakers are available in three distinctive finishes: Deep Forest, Light Pearl, and an exclusive Opéra de Paris edition.
The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB delivers a high-resolution sound experience across an extended frequency range, from 14 Hz to 35 kHz (+/- 6 dB). This flagship model features enhanced connectivity with a broad range of streaming protocols, alongside the latest wireless capabilities - WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.3. It also includes four touch controls on the top of the speaker. The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB is equipped with new technology protected by four newly registered patents.
The Phantom Ultimate 108 dB's midrange driver has been specifically designed to eliminate unwanted resonance, while its tweeter features a brand-new design that balances mechanical robustness with refined high-frequency reproduction. The bass drivers offer an optimized acoustic response with smoother, more controlled low frequencies.
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB, on the other hand, delivers high-fidelity sound reproduction in an ultra-compact form. It integrates an optimized signal processing chain (32-bit/96 kHz) and features a unique co-spherical wideband driver design. The frequency response of the Phantom Ultimate 98 dB ranges from 18 Hz to 25 kHz (+/- 6 dB). The total amplification power of this model is 400 W.
The development and production of the Phantom Ultimate speakers are exclusively carried out by Devialet itself. Both models can be presented in customizable configurations.
The Devialet App offers a range of personal listening options for the Phantom Ultimate speakers. The collection incorporates streaming protocols including AirPlay, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, and UPnP.
The Phantom Ultimate 98 dB is available now, while the flagship 108 dB is available for pre-order. For those seeking a more exclusive edition, Devialet collaborates with prestigious institutions including the Opéra national de Paris. The Phantom Ultimate Opera de Paris 108 dB retails for $4,300, and the Phantom Ultimate Opera de Paris 98 dB retails for $2,400.
