Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems Teams Up with OJUS Power for Strategic Collaboration, Introducing Cutting-edge Air Compressor Technology in India
On September 12, 2025, a significant event took place at OJUS's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. The launch ceremony was graced by Dr. M.P. Shyam, President of RV Educational Institutions, as Chief Guest, and Mr. L.K.M. Adhi, Managing Director of Knitvel Needles Pvt. Ltd and Elkayem Auto Ancillaries Pvt. Ltd, as Guest of Honour.
The occasion marked the start of a strategic partnership between OJUS Power and Technologies Pvt Ltd and Hitachi Industrial Equipment Systems (HIES). This partnership aims to strengthen India-Japan bilateral industrial cooperation and launch a new range of industrial air compressors tailored for the Indian market.
The Indian industrial air compressor market, estimated at USD 1.4 billion, has annual volumes ranging between 45,000 to 50,000 units. The OJUS-Hitachi alliance is strategically poised to capitalize on the country's growing infrastructure, manufacturing, and process industry needs.
The new product lineup includes oil-injected & oil-free rotary screw, reciprocating, and scroll compressors. These compressors cater to a wide array of industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, food processing, engineering, cement, and chemicals. OJUS will serve as the Pan-India distributor for Hitachi's industrial air compressor range.
The alliance focuses on technology transfer, manufacturing excellence, and enhanced customer service. The new range of compressors will be tailored specifically for the Indian market, ensuring they meet the unique demands and requirements of local industries.
Ram Sampathkumar, MD of OJUS Power, expressed excitement about partnering with Hitachi to bring their technologically superior compressors to India. He emphasized the importance of the partnership in addressing the growing needs of the Indian market and setting new benchmarks in energy efficiency, reliability, and operational performance for industrial air solutions in India.

The OJUS-Hitachi alliance will be supported by OJUS's extensive Pan-India dealer network, trained service teams, and modern spare parts management systems. The partnership is set to revolutionize the industrial air compressor market in India, offering innovative solutions that cater to the diverse needs of various industries.
