Honda Offers Fans Chance to Own Piece of F1 History at Monterey Car Week
Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) is launching a new venture, offering fans the chance to own a piece of motorsport history. The first items up for auction at Monterey Car Week are parts of the Honda RA100E V10 engine that powered Ayrton Senna to the 1990 FIA Formula One World Championship.
Fans can bid on complete sets of engine parts or specific components such as camshafts, cam covers, pistons, and connecting rods. Each item will be housed in an acrylic case and come with an original HRC certificate of authenticity.
Honda, known for preserving its racing heritage, showcases its rich history at the Honda Collection Hall in Mobility Resort Motogi and the Honda Racing Gallery at Suzuka Circuit. Many race machines and spare parts, including those from the IndyCar series and valuable motorcycle race machines, are maintained and preserved for future generations. HRC aims to expand this memorabilia business, with plans to include heritage machines from the IndyCar series and other valuable motorcycle race machines in the future. The specific items from these series have not been disclosed yet.
HRC's new memorabilia business offers enthusiasts a unique opportunity to own a part of Honda's racing legacy. The first auction at Monterey Car Week features historic Formula One engine parts, with more exciting items from the IndyCar series and motorcycle racing set to follow.
