Honda Revives Iconic NSX Supercar After 15 Years

Honda has revived plans for the 'news' NSX supercar, reversing a decision made during the 2008 financial crisis. The project was initially shelved in favor of a 'Green' Honda S2000. Now, Honda CEO Takashi Ito has announced the NSX's return, driven by public demand.

The original NSX, produced from 1990 to 2005, was a light and agile supercar, appealing to enthusiasts who appreciated its subtlety and high performance. It was set to be replaced by an all-new NSX with a compact V10 engine. However, the 2008 crisis led to the project's cancellation.

Now, Honda is considering a fresh start for the NSX. The 'news' model could potentially debut at a motor show later this year or in 2015, if Honda chooses to begin anew from scratch.

Honda's decision to restart the NSX project is a response to public demand for a successor to the beloved supercar. The 'news' NSX could make its first appearance at an upcoming motor show, marking a return to the high-performance market for the automaker.
