### Title: Nexceris Sells Li-ion Tamer® to Honeywell, Focusing on Energy Market Expansion

In a significant move to advance lithium-ion battery safety technologies, Nexceris, a pioneer in clean energy innovation, has sold its Li-ion Tamer® off-gas monitoring solution to Honeywell. This transaction marks a strategic step for both companies, bolstering Honeywell's fire life safety portfolio within its Building Automation business and allowing Nexceris to concentrate on developing breakthrough technologies across various energy markets.

The Li-ion Tamer®, an industry-leading technology for preventing thermal runaway events in lithium-ion batteries, was initially developed by Nexceris following a catastrophic lithium-ion battery fire at a U.S. Navy shipyard. Over the past five years, Nexceris partnered with Honeywell to distribute Li-ion Tamer® worldwide, achieving more than 400 million hours of sensing in energy storage applications.

For Nexceris, the sale signifies a shift in its commercialization strategy. The company aims to deploy products across catalyst, electric vehicles (EV), and electrochemical applications through its commercial brands, fuelcellmaterials and HeatPath Solutions. This move demonstrates Nexceris' strategy to commercialize technologies that can be licensed or acquired by industrial partners.

The acquisition by Honeywell strengthens its position in the lithium-ion battery safety market, supporting high-growth sectors such as energy storage and data centers. As lithium-ion battery usage accelerates (projected to grow over 30% annually by 2030), the need for early fire detection and safety solutions like Li-ion Tamer becomes increasingly crucial. This acquisition underscores the importance of technology collaboration in addressing emerging safety challenges.

Randall Stacy, Chief Commercial Officer and Managing Partner at Nexceris, played a key role in the sale of Li-ion Tamer®. GreenFront Energy Partners served as the exclusive financial advisor to Nexceris for this transaction. Kyle Shen, President and CEO of Nexceris, expressed pride in what Li-ion Tamer® has become and is optimistic about the company's future focus on related breakthrough technologies across numerous energy markets.

Nexceris' collaborative model combines client technology with the company's scientific and engineering expertise to accelerate commercialization and deliver measurable results. The company boasts a robust portfolio of innovations for cleaner energy production and enhanced safety in both renewable and fossil fuel industries, positioning it as a key player in the global energy market.

  1. Data and cloud computing are essential technologies for Nexceris as they enable the company to analyze and optimize its clean energy innovations, such as the Li-ion Tamer®, to better serve the growing energy market.
  2. Leveraging Honeywell's technology in data centers and energy storage, Nexceris can further develop breakthrough technologies across various energy markets, including data-and-cloud-computing solutions that ensure safety and efficiency for high-growth sectors.
