Hydrogen energy company, CPH2, enters into a manufacturing agreement with Fabrum Solutions for hydrogen production equipment.

CPH2, a UK-based green hydrogen technology company, has signed a significant manufacturing agreement with Fabrum Solutions Ltd, a New Zealand-based cryogenic systems manufacturer. This collaboration marks CPH2's first manufacturing agreement in the region and aligns with its objective to license out manufacturing of its Membrane-Free Electrolyser (MFE) to accelerate technology delivery.

The agreement, signed on January 31, 2023, extends Fabrum's existing development agreement with CPH2, adding a full-scale manufacturing agreement. The partnership will enable the use of CPH2's world-leading MFE technology across Australia and New Zealand, accelerating the rollout of this innovative technology in the region.

Jon Duffy, Chief Executive Officer of CPH2, expressed delight at extending the working relationship with Fabrum. He views the collaboration as a crucial step towards faster delivery of hydrogen solutions in the region, where the green hydrogen sector is rapidly developing.

Fabrum, a merged entity of Fabrum Solutions and AFCryo, has been supplying cryogenic systems to CPH2 since 2020. Christopher Boyle, Managing Director of Fabrum, views CPH2's technology as a world-beating, low-cost solution for green hydrogen production. Boyle's enthusiasm for the technology is shared by CPH2, as the company aims to achieve a strategic target of 4GW MFE annual production by 2030; of this, 1GW will be in-house manufacturing and assembly, and 3GW will be via license agreements such as that agreed with Fabrum.

The agreement allows Fabrum to purchase DPWG Cryocoolers for embedding in its MFE products on an exclusive basis. The first MFE220 has already been shipped to Fabrum's facilities in New Zealand for completion, fitting, and commissioning.

CPH2 and Fabrum's symbiotic, patented technologies advance Membrane Free Electrolysers, a promising technology for the production of green hydrogen. The strong demand for hydrogen solutions across various industries in Australia and New Zealand, combined with the growing interest in CPH2's innovative and disruptive hydrogen electrolyser technology, promises a promising future for this collaboration.

The agreement strengthens the working and strategic relationship between the two companies, positioning them well to contribute to the growing green hydrogen market in Australia and New Zealand. The collaboration between CPH2 and Fabrum is expected to drive the rapid scale-up and market penetration of CPH2's technology in the region.
