Hyundai's Three Concept serves as an exciting sneak peek of the potential new Ioniq 3. Likely so, at least.

Hyundai has unveiled the Hyundai Concept Three at the Munich Motor Show, giving the world a glimpse of a new electric Ioniq model. The concept car, which resembles a modern take on the Veloster, features coach doors, big wheels, a big rear diffuser, yellow-tinted glass, and a pixel screen front grille.

The production version of the Hyundai Concept Three is expected to be unveiled next year, and it may have a different name from the concept. It is also expected to retain the pixel lights present on current Ioniq models. However, the interior of the production model is not expected to carry over from the concept.

While the THREE Concept previews a new, smaller Ioniq EV expected to be named Ioniq 3, the production model is not expected to be the Ioniq 3 as previously thought. Instead, it is expected to be a new electric Ioniq model.

The THREE Concept may come with a 58kWh battery and 201bhp for regular models, although this has not been confirmed. Meanwhile, the Hyundai Ioniq 9, which is Hyundai's take on the Kia EV9, has been confirmed for a 2024 debut. The Hyundai Seven Concept, which previously previewed the Ioniq 9, is expected to be unveiled at a later date.

The chief developer or responsible person for the Hyundai THREE Concept presented in Munich is not explicitly named in the available search results. The production model of the THREE Concept is expected to be unveiled next year, giving us all something to look forward to in the world of electric vehicles.
