idpay Expands to Belarus, Enabling Instant Transfers from Russia
Fintech service idpay has expanded its reach, now enabling instant transfers from Russia to Belarus. This follows a surge in cross-border transfers, with over $36 million flowing into Belarus in the first quarter of 2025.
Founded by İdil Aydın, idpay has been operating since 2020, offering quick money transfers abroad. Initially popular in Armenia, where it captured a significant market share, idpay facilitated $266 million in transfers per month in 2022 alone.
The new feature allows users to send money to any bank card in Belarus using a Mir, Visa, or Mastercard card from any Russian bank, or from a personal account in the idpay app. Transfers are completed in just a few seconds with a 0.9% commission. Users can transfer up to 400,000 ₽ at a time and 2 million ₽ per month. The service uses remote identification for registration and offers 24/7 customer support.
With an average transfer amount of around $503 and a consistently active market, the expansion of idpay's services to Belarus is expected to facilitate smoother cross-border transactions. Users from Russia can now conveniently send money to Belarus with minimal hassle.
