Introducing the Honda Fastport eQuad from New Zealand couriers - a new electric quad bike for swift deliveries
The automotive industry is taking strides towards a greener future, and Honda is leading the charge with the introduction of the Fastport eQuad. This innovative micromobility solution, designed for last-mile delivery, will make its global debut at Eurobike from 25-29 June in Frankfurt, Germany.
Powered by Honda's Mobile Power Pack (MPP) swappable batteries and equipped with software-defined vehicle (SDV) technology, the Fastport eQuad promises speed, efficiency, and reliability for urban logistics operations. The vehicle features a pedal-by-wire pedal-assist powertrain, a regenerative braking system for energy savings, and automatic parking brakes for enhanced safety.
The Fastport eQuad's design is as practical as it is stylish. Its canopy comes with a UV coating and a ceramic tint option, while a ventilation fan and full-frontal enclosure ensure rider comfort. The vehicle also offers both large and small vehicle and cargo box container sizes, catering to various regional customer needs.
The Fastport eQuad is the first product of a new division from Honda's New Business Innovation Lab, based in California. Jose Wyszogrod, general manager and founding member of Fastport, explains that the Fastport eQuad is a zero-emission alternative to delivery vans, contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable urban environment.
The Fastport eQuad is scheduled to enter the micromobility news market in Europe and North America in late-2025, with general mass production in 2026. It will be built at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center, a facility renowned for its production of high-quality, small-volume and specialist products, including the Acura NSX and the CR-V e:FCEV PHEV/hydrogen model.
As the Fastport brand makes its global debut, it's clear that Honda is committed to shaping the future of urban logistics with innovative, eco-friendly solutions like the Fastport eQuad. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new development in the world of transportation.
