Introducing the TVS NTorq 150 in India for ₹1.19 lakh

The TVS Motor Company has made a significant entry into the 150cc+ sporty scooter segment with the launch of the NTorq 150. This latest offering is a testament to TVS' commitment to innovation and performance.

Performance and Specifications

Powering the NTorq 150 is an air-cooled, 149.7 cc engine that delivers 13 bhp and 14.2 Nm of torque. The scooter boasts a top speed of 104 kmph and a 0-60 kmph time of just 6.3 seconds, according to TVS claims. The scooter comes with a 5.8-litre fuel tank, the same as its predecessor, the NTorq 125.

Design and Features

The design of the NTorq 150 is an evolution of the NTorq 125, with elements reminiscent of the TVS X electric scooter. The scooter features four projector lamps and boomerang-shaped LED DRLs, a departure from the single-piece unit on the NTorq 125. It also sports winglets on either side and new taillamps, but retains the T-shape motif from the NTorq 125.

The base-spec NTorq 150 comes with a split-view console (TFT+LCD hybrid unit), while the top-spec NTorq 150 TFT comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, similar to the Apache RTR 310. The scooter also offers smartwatch and smartphone connectivity, Alexa integration, USB port in the boot, OTA updates, turn-by-turn navigation, and more features.

Ride Modes and Pricing

The NTorq 150 offers two ride modes - Street and Race. The scooter is priced at ₹1.19 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the standard variant, and ₹1.29 lakh (ex-showroom, India) for the NTorq 150 TFT variant.

Dimensions and Competition

The NTorq 150 has a reduced height by 40 mm compared to the NTorq 125, making it more accessible for a wider range of riders. In terms of competition, the NTorq 150 rivals the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and Aprilia SR 175.

The TVS NTorq 150, developed and created in India, is set to redefine the sporty scooter segment with its powerful performance, innovative features, and stylish design.
