Investment of $12 million secured by Saudi gaming company Lobah
Lobah, a renowned Saudi game development studio, has recently secured a significant investment of $12 million from the Social Development Bank (SDB). The funding is part of SDB's expanded support for the gaming and esports sector.
The gaming studio was formed by combining a company with 20 years of experience in mobile social gaming across the Middle East with MAU Games, a Saudi gaming studio with over 14 years of expertise. Eisa Atawi, Lobah's co-founder, established MAU Games more than a decade ago.
Lobah launched Lobah Play in January, a platform for game developers to publish, network, and monetize their games. The studio's first release, Habhab, a casual fruit-merge game, is already available on the platform.
In addition to Habhab, Lobah is currently developing new titles. Kingdom of Letters, a trivia game inspired by the 90s TV show حروف, and Jackaroo, a strategy board game involving marbles and cards, are among the upcoming releases.
All of Lobah's future games will only be available through its own platform, Lobah Play. For the most up-to-date and detailed status on Lobah and its plans, it is recommended to check official announcements from Lobah's website, press releases from the Social Development Bank, or recent reputable news sources focused on the Saudi gaming industry.
