LA's website unveils April's schedule of events

Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Los Angeles prepares to host a series of exciting events that blend tradition with technology.

Firstly, on Monday, April 28, 2025, the Dodgers will be hosting a "Japanese Heritage Night" Watch Party at Ovation Hollywood's outdoor courtyard. The event will take place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., offering fans a unique opportunity to enjoy the game while immersed in Japanese culture. Dave & Buster's will be serving drinks and bites for attendees, and the game will be projected on a large screen in the courtyard.

Meanwhile, at Japan House Los Angeles, the highly anticipated "NEO-JAPONISM | SAMURAI AND BEYOND: Exploring Tradition Through Technology" exhibition is on display. This immersive experience revitalizes Japanese cultural history using advanced digital visualization technologies. Visitors can interact with 3D digital renderings of ancient armor, scale models of 3,000-year-old dogū figurines, and detailed recreations of Japanese castle architecture. The exhibition also features high-definition 3DCG artwork and offers a new video tour that brings historical artifacts—from warlord tea bowls to Edo-period art—to vivid life in Los Angeles.

The exhibition highlights interactive technologies developed in collaboration with NHK and Japan’s museums, which enhance access and engagement through digital means. These technologies enable close-up examination and immersive exploration of priceless Japanese cultural treasures, blending tradition with cutting-edge digital interaction techniques.

In addition to the exhibition, a talk titled "Steel and Honor | The Legacy of the Samurai Sword" will take place on April 26. This talk showcases a local collector's rare collection of Japanese swords, ornaments, and more. The event is free for all fans to attend and is in partnership with Jidai Arts, complementing the "NEO-JAPONISM | SAMURAI AND BEYOND: Exploring Tradition Through Technology" exhibition.

For those who are interested, there's a Kokoro Care Spring "Sakura & Hanami" Package giveaway running from April 1 to April 30. This giveaway is open only to legal residents, 18 years of age or older, of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
