Hyundai Motor Company has announced a new charging incentive program for its 2025 IONIQ 6 and 2024 IONIQ 5 customers, offering a combination of home charging solutions and public fast-charging credits.

IONIQ 6 Incentives

For those purchasing or leasing a 2025 IONIQ 6, the incentive package includes two years of free Electrify America fast-charging credits or a $600 credit towards home charger installation. This comprehensive offering caters to both home charging convenience and on-the-go charging needs.

IONIQ 5 Incentives

Last year, 2024 IONIQ 5 customers enjoyed two years of 30-minute Electrify America public fast charging, along with a free home Level 2 charger. For the 2025 IONIQ 5 models, the two-year free Electrify America fast charging has been dropped, but customers can still choose between a ChargePoint Home Flex Level 2 charger or a $400 credit towards home charging equipment and installation.

To avail of these incentives, customers must create a profile on the Hyundai Home Marketplace within 60 days of purchase or lease and make their selection. The monetary credits must be redeemed within two years of the purchase or lease date.

Supporting Home and Public Charging

Home charging is primarily done via Level 2 chargers, which are more cost-effective than public fast chargers. With the credits offered, customers can install a home Level 2 charger, reducing installation costs.

The public charging credits for two years are included specifically with the 2025 IONIQ 6 to offset the higher public fast charging costs. For 2025 IONIQ 5 buyers, public charging credits are no longer included.

A Comprehensive Charging Solution

In summary, eligible customers can redeem these incentives by:

  1. Purchasing or leasing an eligible IONIQ model within 2025.
  2. For home charging, opting for the free Level 2 charger or taking the monetary credit towards installation.
  3. Creating a profile on Hyundai Home Marketplace for redemption.
  4. For 2025 IONIQ 6 buyers, claiming two years of Electrify America fast charging credits.
  5. Using these incentives within prescribed deadlines (e.g., 60 days to select charger/credit; two years to use monetary credits).

This combination of incentives supports both home charging convenience and public fast charging affordability, depending on your Hyundai EV model and purchase year.

  1. The fleet management industry, particularly in the automotive sector, is being aided by the financial incentives offered by Hyundai Motor Company for its 2025 IONIQ 6 and 2024 IONIQ 5 customers, which include home charging solutions and public fast-charging credits.
  2. The technology utilized in the charging solutions aims to reduce the finance-related hurdles in the transition to electric vehicles (EVs) like the IONIQ 6 and IONIQ 5, supporting the growth of the energy sector through the increased adoption of EVs in transportation.
  3. These incentives cater to both industries (energy and automotive) by providing home charging equipment and public fast-charging credits, thereby fostering a seamless charging ecosystem for Hyundai's EV customers.
