Launched: The New RailOne App by Indian Railways - Streamline Ticket Booking and More; Explore Key Features Here
In a significant step towards digitising and streamlining its services, Indian Railways has launched RailOne, a next-generation mobile application. The app, introduced by Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on July 1, 2025, aims to consolidate all passenger-related railway services into one easy-to-use platform.
The RailOne app is designed to offer a seamless experience, replacing the need for multiple railway-related apps. It integrates features from existing apps like UTS (Unreserved Ticketing System) and RailConnect, providing users with a unified and streamlined user experience.
One of the key features of RailOne is its all-in-one ticket booking service. Passengers can plan journeys, search trains, and book both reserved and unreserved tickets directly from the app, eliminating the need for multiple platforms. For added convenience, users can avail of a 3% discount when booking unreserved tickets and platform tickets.
In an effort to curb misuse by IRCTC partner agents who bulk-book tickets, the move to implement Aadhaar verification is now mandatory for IRCTC IDs to book Tatkal and emergency tickets on Indian Railways. RailOne has incorporated this feature, ensuring a more secure and fair ticketing system.
RailOne offers a range of services beyond ticket booking. Passengers can track their trains live in real-time, view details and history of all their booked and cancelled tickets, and even locate their coach on the platform easily. The app also provides real-time updates on PNR status and a full history of bookings.
Food ordering is another convenient feature available on RailOne. Passengers can order meals to their seat during the journey via e-catering services. For smoother and faster payments and bookings, RailOne has a built-in R-Wallet (Railway e-wallet).
Passengers can also file and track complaints related to rail travel using the Rail Madad integration. If needed, they can even delete their account or change passwords, edit names (once), and verify email addresses.
RailOne also caters to the needs of divyangjan (persons with disabilities), students, and patients, offering inclusive services. The app is available for download on both the Android Play Store and iOS App Store, and users of existing platforms like UTS and RailConnect can use their old credentials to log in.
With RailOne, Indian Railways is making a significant move towards digitising and streamlining its services, aiming to enhance convenience, reduce device app clutter, and improve the overall passenger experience. The app also offers a single sign-on system for user login, live train tracking, food ordering, refund management, complaint management, and profile services, all within one app.
The RailOne app, integrated with features from existing apps like UTS and RailConnect, offers a unified experience for sports enthusiasts, allowing them to book their rail tickets without switching between multiple platforms. The inclusion of food ordering via e-catering services within the app also means that passengers can easily arrange meals during their journey, similar to ordering tickets for their favorite sports events online.
